When did it become alright to disturb the peace? From loud stereo's in cars and apartments to little children being aloud to scream in an enclosed area without one word of acknowledgement from a parent to young neighbor wrestling loudly next door. For the first 18 month of my residence here I had one loud tenent above me. When he moved out I moved a friend in to the room and problem solved.
Now two and half years later I have been instrumental in three other rooms being vacated. NO I'm not proud that this had to happen but I think it shows my determination. Yet they continue to place disrespectful kids in my enviornment. There response to my request for quiet has been "I CAN DO WHAT EVER I WANT, I PAY RENT!" Now I'm a reasonable person and in a very limited way they make a good point.
Now the room next to mine is IDENTICAL in everyway including price. In the papers I signed it states that noise made in my room should not be heard outside my door. Now I am assuming that my neighbors lease says the same thing. The one question I am afraid to ask is "does their lease say it's OK to disturb my peace?" I have yet to see it but according to the reaction I get when I complain it must.
In my next post I'm going to show why I can't just move.

I have thought about what you said about all the effort you have to show just to be recognized in accomplishing things in life. That really touch my heart yet it made me aware of how many times I have probably overlook someones "feats" because it wasn't such a
big "feat" for me to do. If it was easy for me I am sure I didn't understand how hard it may have been for them to do the same things. Thank you for pointing out the fact that even though we accomplish the same things/feats - the struggle up or down the hill if different for each of us. You with your handicap may have worked 3 times harder just to get where I got with 3 times less the effort.

I will promise you this - I will in the future "look" at the whole picture and appreciate who and what was done. Thank you for helping me grow in that area - and to be better today than I was yesterday. Yes finally someone responds in a warm compasioniate way. I am not seeking sympathy. I only wish to raise a certain amount of awareness to what I know to be true. Ignoring it does not change the reality it only covers it in a veil of ignorance. I thank Looking for Lucy for her warm and sesitive reply.

If you have ever been denied money you have my sympathy. It's amazing what control we are loosing. "Hey we shut down the access for the money for 24hrs." To say I was pissed is an understatement. I have been penalized hundreds of dollars for overdraft charges. Some as low as under a dollar and mostly it was stupid. They denied me my money for a short time but the mental was intense.
Well as it says I've got or had money and will survive another month. Hopefully this doesn't happen again so I can live in peace. Ain't got much so when denied I get just a tad nervous. PEACE TO ALL TS

Sounds impossible yet on August 6, 2006 it has happened. How did a lowly man such as I come across this information? I have a cash pay account which is through Bank of America. It's not really a BofA account therefore locking us out of our accounts can not be considered their problem. I find this criminal yet being a Sunday what am I to do? Will it be covered in the news? I doubt it, when I'm finished here I am going to contact my local stations and make inquiries about the situation. I doubt it will be covered the Bank is a better customer than I. TS

Or maybe I should say "Truth in Happiness"? I blog so that like an old pipe under pressure will leak. Better it leak than explode because I don't like who I am at those moments. I share my little tidbits of anger and will smile at how well I have delt with the situation, knowing full well that it could have gotten nasty.
I do not like noise! Any noise and this is crazy because we live in a noisey world. Which is why when I'm bothered by the noise I can go home and be safe from most external noises. Not anymore, my once quiet home has become saturated with how cheap this building is. If I can hear the water run while my neighbor showers than it's time to move. What I don't understand is why this never bothered me before? Maybe I'm finally going to lose it and then where will I be. The joy I once had for surviving is gone and once again I must decide between my happinesss and where I live. It will not be easy but I think a move is in the air.TS
